That was all Loki managed before the voltage hit him. At that point his body game him no choice, and he hit the ground in an undignified heap.
His last conscious thought was a resigned "of course," since it seemed of a piece, that one more thing would go terribly, irrevocably wrong.
If he was lucky, maybe they'd kill him and he wouldn't wake again.
